In a press release Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing said “In just three years the App Store changed how people get mobile apps, and now the Mac App Store is changing the traditional PC software industry...     It's the 10th anniversary of the Apple iPod and MacWorld has a great article on how the first iPod came to be and led to Apple's great unveiling on October 23, 2001. I don't have an iPod but I do have it's distant relative the iPad 2.     Apple just made the iOS 5.0 available via the Automatic update of iTunes 10.5, the iOS 5.0 download is a whopping 707.2 MB file download, so it may take sometime before you can use the new mobile OS. iOS 5.0 was first unveil by Steve Jobs from the last WWDC in San Francisco last June 2011, it will introduce 200 new features like a new Notification, iMessages, NewsStand, Reminders, AirPlay Mirroring, OTA Update, iCloud integration and a new Keyboard UI, not to mention the 1,500 new developer APIs for developers.
