Less than a year since it was announced, the Apple Mac App Store now exceeded 100 million downloads. In a press release Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing said “In just three years the App Store changed how people get mobile apps, and now the Mac App Store is changing the traditional PC software industry... With more than 100 million downloads in less than a year, the Mac App Store is the largest and fastest growing PC software store in the world.”

Last August Steve Jobs resigned as Apple's CEO and recommended Tim Cook as his successor as the new CEO of Apple. Sure enough Apple's Board of Director named Tim cook as it's new CEO.
In Steve's resignation letter, he said "I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. New Relic recently publish a test/study that they've made benchmarking the performance of Safari browser on iOS 4 and iOS 5 and the end result is, Safari browser on iOS 5 is perform much better, efficient and loads web pages 3 times faster than the Safari browser on iOS 4.

It's the 10th anniversary of the Apple iPod and MacWorld has a great article on how the first iPod came to be and led to Apple's great unveiling on October 23, 2001. I don't have an iPod but I do have it's distant relative the iPad 2. If you can remember Apple when out of the box in releasing the first (a lowly mp3 player) iPod, even though the market was already saturated with mp3 players.
Makes me wonder what would have happen if the original iPod was a bust instead of a "blockbuster", will Apple still go a head ...
"Apple's iPad Dominance is Fading!" that's what the report of Strategy Analytics is saying. The report said "Apple iPad's 96% market share has fallen to 67% - that's 29% drop in just 1 quarter (3rd Quarter), while tablets running Android OS shares increases by 26.9%. "
I'm not good in math but let's try to take a look on some figures to see if that's what really is happening here.

Apple just made the iOS 5.0 available via the Automatic update of iTunes 10.5, the iOS 5.0 download is a whopping 707.2 MB file download, so it may take sometime before you can use the new mobile OS. iOS 5.0 was first unveil by Steve Jobs from the last WWDC in San Francisco last June 2011, it will introduce 200 new features like a new Notification, iMessages, NewsStand, Reminders, AirPlay Mirroring, OTA Update, iCloud integration and a new Keyboard UI, not to mention the 1,500 new developer APIs for developers.
